Going to school for the first time is a major step in the life of a child. It means not always having the teacher’s undivided attention, sharing toys and space with classmates, and learning to adapt to the timetable of lessons and school hours.
This can sometimes be a difficult period of adjustment during which all the adults should be involved to make it easier.
This story intends to bring the school closer to the very young by telling Irene’s story, so that the first days of school are a happy experience and not a traumatic one.
