Edimater has been publishing in Andalusia for children and young people since 2008. We are committed to the promotion of reading skills through works that enhance human values while still being fun and a good read, full of fantasy and mystery. The different collections in our catalogue are expressly structured and carefully designed according to age and subject matter. As well as the enjoyment of reading, we aim to foster creative expression, helping to fire the imagination of children and young people and to develop their emotional intelligence. To this end we have started the Crea collection.

LA ESTRELLA BAILARINA - THE DANCING STAR (reading for beginners)
The contents and design of this children’s collection have been specially created for young readers. The carefully illustrated pages explore a variety of techniques which faithfully interpret the text and encourage reading skills in young children who are just starting to read.
Available as paperbacks and as hardback picture book
All the books in this collection have been considered Curricular Material suitable for use in primary schools and approved by the Andalusian Ministry of Education according to the Order of September 2nd 2005 (Boja nº 193 October 3rd)
EL HADA Y EL DUENDE - THE FAIRY AND THE ELF (for 7 year olds and over)
The Fairy and the Elf follows on from the The Dancing Star collection and has many similar characteristics; the number of pages and the font size vary, and a wider vocabulary is used. The stories are founded in fantasy and follow the same principles of an education in values that run through all the Edimater collections.

ARTE - ART (for 7 year olds and over)
This collection brings different forms of artistic expression closer to the very young. Amusing characters introduce us to cities, their history and habits, monuments, museums, etc.
Cleo is the first series.
CREA (for 7 year olds and over)
This is the first book of the collection. Based on the Freinet teaching technique and the use of free texts, illustrations and words have been collected in a Magic Box. The child chooses a selection of these to make up his or her own story, either orally or on paper.
What do we hope to achieve with this collection? Simply that children give free rein to their imagination and creative capacity interpreting a fragmented image while at the same time enriching their vocabulary using the words that come out of the Magic Box.
LA OSA MENOR - THE LITTLE BEAR (two groups: for 8 year olds and 10 year olds)
A collection of children’s illustrated story books for eight year olds and ten year olds and over. These are stories about everything from adventures, magic, humour and make-believe, to stories about everyday life. What all of them have in common are implicit human values.
LA VÍA LÁCTEA - THE MILKY WAY (two groups: for 12 year olds and 14 year olds)
Ochre Series: Illustrated fantastic short stories that make use of the archetypes and the symbolic language that for centuries have belonged to our collective memory.
The genre of short stories can be enjoyed by all ages.
Maroon Series: Previously unpublished illustrated novels for adolescents with a wide range of subject matter, from magical fantasy to everyday life.
